NINE PIES FOR MRS. BUTLER!
Mrs. Mandy Butler, 1st Grade teacher at Sumter County Primary, challenged her entire class to excel on the Sumter County Schools' reading, language arts, and math Assessment Test. Mrs. Butler never bargained for what was to happen on a bright, sunny, Friday afternoon. Nine (9) students in her class exceeded in all three sections of the test. Congratulations to Eli Bacon, Lei Chen, Curtissa Evans, Trenton Floyd, Olivia Harper, Broolynn Hester, Trinity Major, Seth Parrott and Kyra Volley.
Provisions had been purchased for the few expected "pies in the face." Additional tin pans and spray topping had to be purchased before announcing the students scholars. Mrs. Butler's entire class went outside and enjoyed the celebration of the pie toss.

Here, Mrs. Butler is surrounded by students who enjoyed the celebration of their test passage and presenting their teacher with nine "pies in the face!"
