        STALEY BOYS WIN SMAC CHAMPIONSHIP

The Staley Middle boy's basketball team defeated Crisp County 52-44 to win the South Middle Athletic Conference Championship. Great defense was played by Emory McKenzie, Mekall Yancie, Tywun Jackson, Juwon Milledge, Adam King, Brandon Dennard, and Deandre Hawkins. Leading scorers were Emory McKenzie 16 pts. Adam King 13pts. Deandre Hawkins 10 pts. Mekall Yancie 5 pts. Tywun Jackson 4 pts. Juwon Milledge 2 pts. and Brandon Dennard 2 pts. Great hustle and team spirit was evident throughout the game. The team is led by Coach Martin Mitchell.
Staley boys finished the season with a 13-2 record to win their second consecutive conference championship. Four players had at least 100 points for the season: Adam Kin 196 pts, Emory McKenzie 143, Mekall Yancie 108, and Brandon Dennard 100 pts. Adam King completes his basketball career at Staley with 502 points.
