STUDENTS LEARN TEAM PLAY AND GAMES AT SUMTER COUNTY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
The learning environment at Sumter County Elementary School embraces academic, fun-filled and life skills for students. With an increasing awareness of the importance of physical exercise, Coach Carol Briley and other volunteer coaches and teachers ready students for the physical challenges of life. "With our display and explanation of a variety of games throughout the year, students in the SCES gym learn the importance of exercise and competitive partnership in life," said Coach Briley.

This week, students have learned the value of hand and eye contact and physical stamina. The creative games introduced to students stress the need for minimal equipment investment. "Most of our equipment can be locally purchased and enjoyed for a long time. We stress the need for physical movement more than relay skills," continued Coach Briley.
