SHARING LUNCH WITH GRANDPARENTS AT SUMTER COUNTY MIDDLE SCHOOL
STUDENT SHARE LUNCH WITH FAMILY ON GRANDPARENTS DAY AT SUMTER COUNTY MIDDLE SCHOOL Some data suggests that older students dislike public association with their parents, grandparents or any older family member. Such was not the case at Sumter County Middle School. All students at Sumter County Middle were encouraged to invite their grandparents for lunch in the school's cafeteria. From 11:30-1:00 p.m., School Ambassadors welcomed family members and escorted the guests into the cafeteria to meet with students. During the 90 minute time period, tables in the light-filled cafeteria were filled with grandparent visitors. This is an annual event at Sumter County Middle School. The next luncheon will be held in November for Dads. From left, 8th grader- Hali Worth and her grandmother, Mrs. Gem Price, 6th grader-Quavian Hammett and grandmother Mrs. Nathelma J.
