SUMTER COUNTY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CELEBRATES FOOD SERVICE EXCELLENCE!
“Salute” to the Sumter County Elementary School cafeteria staff! Principal Sharron Marcus, staff and students at Sumter County Elementary School honored Mrs. Lorraine Lassiter and her cafeteria staff on Monday, September 12, 2011. They were recognized for the perfect score of 100 that was received during their last inspection by the Department of Community Health, Division of Public Health.
An ice cream social was held as recognition by Mrs. Marcus and Dr. Mays. A banner designed by the art classes of Mrs. Althea Mitchell was hung in the cafeteria. The message was, “Congratulations, Lunchroom Staff, 100%, Perfect Score.”
Cafeteria Manager Lassiter stated that her staff works hard to keep the kitchen in perfect order all the time by following all of the required food safety regulations. Principal Marcus said that she wanted for the cafeteria staff to know that they were a part of the school and apart of the learning process for the children.
