RICHELLE'S SWEET SHOP BECOMES 34TH TEACHER APPRECIATION PARTNER WITH SUMTER COUNTY SCHOOLS
"I realize the excitement on the faces of kids and adults when they are served a decorated cupcake or other confection. I wanted to join the Teacher Appreciation Partnership group and share our talent and goodness with students and adults," said Richelle Bivins, excited owner of Richelle's. Richelle joins 33 other Teacher Appreciation Partners with Sumter County Schools.
Pedestrians agree that the corner of Lamar Street and Windsor Avenue is filled with the smells of pastries and good cooking.
"I had a customer, from Florida, visit last week and say that this shop reminded them of a fantasy land, much like Disney World. I was thrilled and even more eager to provide a place, within walking distance to most of downtown, for residents and Americus guests to visit for a sweet treat," continued Bivins.

Bivins share her excitement to be on the corner and floor of the historic Windsor Hotel."I love downtown Americus and Mr. Sharad Patel, the owner of the Windsor and The Best Western, has shared some spectacular marketing plans with me. I am blessed that only three steps lead to Richelle's from the lobby of The Windsor.

Richelle's offers all occasion cakes, cup cakes, cookies and many other different confections and pastries. The perfect accompaniment for the daily prepared sweets is a vast menu of ice cream. Richelle's is the 'All-Around Sweet Shop' in  Americus.

Historic tables and inspiring light fill the open dining of Richelle's. The shop is open Monday-Saturday from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.. The telephone number for Richelle's is 229-928-0800. The modern kitchen bakes delightful cupcakes each day, Mrs. Bivins says, "I like it when I am challenged with a creative design. Wedding and special occasion cakes are great as we share creative confectionery ideas. A cake is my canvas for sharing new ideas with decorating," shared Richelle Bivins.
