STALEY MIDDLE WINS AT REGIONAL INVESTMENT CHALLENGE
STALEY MIDDLE SCHOOL TEAM IS REGIONAL WINNER IN STOCK MARKET GAME
Eighth grade students from Staley Middle School participated in the Georgia Stock Market Game sponsored by the Georgia Council on Economics Education. Students were divided into teams. At the beginning of the game, each team was given 100,000 dollars. They purchased stock and sold stock in order to make a profit.
One of the Staley teams placed as regional winners. These students attended an awards luncheon in Atlanta at the Georgia Freight Depot at Underground Atlanta. The speaker for the luncheon was Dr. John Barge, State Superintendent of Schools. Each student received a certificate, a t-shirt and a tote bag.
We are proud of these students for a job well done. Congratulations to the team! Pictured are team members front: De'undrea Burton, Jameelah Williams. Back row: Advisor, Ms. Jackie Slappey, Jazzmine Little, Quadrevion Phillips, and Jessica Clayton
