Dr. Roberts completed the program in August of this year and received a plaque from the State Superintendent and the Executive Director of the Georgia School Superintendent Association on December 5, 2011. Dr. Roberts states that her experience during the past two years has really helped to prepare her for the superintendency. She was afforded the opportunity to learn from some of the leading educators in the state. Dr. Roberts notes that the relationships and friendships formed as a result of her participation in the program are invaluable. The topics that were covered in program included strategic leadership and district culture, policy and governance, communication and community relations, leadership and organizational management, school finance, curriculum planning and development, instructional management, staff evaluation and personnel management, and values and ethics of leadership.
