GRANDPARENTS ENJOY STALEY MIDDLE SCHOOL ON THEIR DAY
STALEY MIDDLE SCHOOL ENJOYS ANNUAL GRANDPARENTS DAY
The Grandparents Day Program was recently held with over 100 Grandparents and grandchildren filling the cafeteria for a Thanksgiving meal. Realizing what an important role grandparents play in the lives of the students, the Staley Middle faculty and staff wanted to recognize the grandparents and started the program five years ago. The program has grown over the years and exceeded expectations. Mrs. Harris welcomed the grandparents and spoke about their importance in the lives of our students. A poem about grandparents was read and the Staley Middle School Gospel Choir performed. 8th grade Family and Consumer Science students worked the cafeteria line to serve the great meal prepared by the Nutrition staff. After selections from the Gospel Choir, Mrs. Harris made announcements and gave closing remarks.
