SUMTER MIDDLE STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN ST. JUDE'S MATH-A-THON

Sumter County Middle School students, Ozzie Ghimire, Gabriela Sota-Maldonado, Amelia Bibler, Blake St. John, Lauren Busman, Kali Worth, Hannah Ezzo, Sage Finch, Jasmine Oliver, and Teresa Hart recently participated in the St. Jude’s Math-a-thon and raised close to $500. This is an increase of $200 from the previous school year! SCMS is very proud to be a part of such a wonderful academically motivating fundraiser.
Math-A-Thon is a free, education-based fundraising program for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The program contains a free math curriculum funbook for grades K-8 that students complete after obtaining sponsorships from family and friends. Each Funbook level meets national standard requirements that will help your students practice and prepare for standardized testing.
The money raised by the students benefit St. Jude, where doctors and scientists work to eliminate childhood cancer and other tragic childhood diseases.
