AMERICUS-SUMTER HIGH NORTH CAMPUS ACHIEVES TOTAL COMPLIANCE FOR SECOND TIME THIS SCHOOL YEAR

Today, October 17, 2011, Americus-Sumter High North Campus classrooms were TOTALLY COMPLIANT WITH ENERGY EDUCATION. "This is the second time in as many energy audits of this school. I am pleased and look forward to their continued great reports of cost avoidance and saving teacher jobs in Sumter County School. This $818,550 is money that does NOT HAVE TO BE PAID for energy use. I congratulate Principal Marcus and Assistant Principal, Jared Worthy on their leadership," said McMichael. "We look forward to laminating this second citation and posting it below the first certificate," said Ms. Mack.

With the increasing load on classroom teachers, these professionals find time to comply with the guidelines of Energy Education. Begun in December 2008, the cost conservation program has attained a "Cost Avoidance" savings of over $818,530. Unannounced, Energy Education Manager in Sumter County Schools, Mulkey McMichael, visits a school at 6:00 a.m. After a complete walk-trough visit of the total school, he files a report for  administrators of that visited school
