STALEY MIDDLE SCHOOL ADORNS HATS FOR FIRST FACULTY MEETING
STALEY MIDDLE SCHOOL FACULTY MEETING CELEBRATES STAFF COOPERATION The September 1, 2011 faculty meeting of Staley Middle School was a continued demonstration of educational excellence and partnership with administrators, teachers and staff members. Although the same program format remains each month, different groups are responsible for the "theme" and any social celebration of the meeting. Each month, minor agenda changes are made to maximize the highlights the current and coming month of the school year.
At this first meeting of the 2011-2012 school year, the Student Performance Team, (SPT), planned the welcome back celebration. Adorned in brightly colored hats, the SPT members welcomed each faculty member with the comment, "Welcome back! Hats Off To A Great Start!" Lead greeter of the meeting was Principal, "Sister" Victoria Harris.
In addition to Principal Harris, other members of the SPT group were Assistant Principal-Mrs. Ginger Webster; Academic Coach- Mrs. Morgan Brown; Counselor- Mrs Daphne Williams; Media Specialist- Mrs. Judy Lloyd and Academic Coach, Mrs. Sabrina Stephens.
"Our faculty meetings are a time to cheer the greatness of our learning team and the students at Staley Middle School. We begin every meeting with a 'Positive Comment' from each member. This exciting and concise statement by all of our team sets the pace for a great meeting," said Principal Victoria Harris.
The agenda is filled with salutes to different faculty members and groups who have exceeded expectations as adult leaders. Mrs. Harris revealed the September student attendance report of 99%. She also recognized Dr. Gerald Cole, a 3-year math and science teacher at Staley Middle for his perfect attendance each month of his 3-year employment with Sumter County Schools.
