ALICE ALEXANDER DOES HER JOB AT CHEROKEE ELEMENTARY
In Sumter County Schools, the appearance of school corridor floors welcomes visitors and students. For years, Cherokee Elementary has set the pace for shine and cleanliness of these floors. The floors are the pride of the custodial staff and head custodian, Mr. Clyde Angry. With the ongoing project of outside operational efficiency and "curb appeal" of all properties of Sumter County Schools, administrators, teachers and custodians are joining this mission of school presentation. As she was cleaning the entrance door glass at Cherokee, Mrs. Alice Alexander noticed debris on the front lawn of Cherokee. "I was about finished with the glass work and took a break to go outside and pick up the trash and debris that had found a way to our lawn. We are proud of Cherokee and are doing our part to help," said Mrs. Alexander.

Here, Mrs. Alexander pauses with hands full of debris and cleaning solution.
