SUPERINTENDENT, DR. ROY BROOKS AND DONNIE MCCRARY OF SUMTER BROADCASTING PARTNER TO SHARE "A NEW BEGINNING"
Today, longtime Partner in Education, WISK Radio/Sumter Broadcasting, and Sumter County Schools' Superintendent, Dr. Roy Brooks, taped a first message concerning the ongoing progress of "A New Beginning" in Sumter County Schools.

In this first interview with McCrary, Dr. Brooks shared his excitement for the growing and rapid acceptance of his theme, "A New Beginning." Dr. Brooks said, "This is a great place, and people have been quite receptive to our plans to make this one of the highest-achieving rural school districts in Georgia."

"People in Sumter County do not need to spend additional money to obtain the best education for their children. We already have greatness in Sumter County Schools. It will continue to get better as this community partners with our administration, teachers and staff to enjoy the coming citation of World Class Schools. Already the untrue and negative perception of our schools is changing. The best is yet to come," said Dr. Brooks.

After the 12 minute first interview, Dr. Brooks and Donnie discussed plans for future taping sessions. Also discussed was the future electronic submission of questions to WISK for Dr. Brooks' response.
