FIVE STUDENTS WIN IN REGIONAL SCIENCE FAIR AT DARTON COLLEGE

On February 18, 2011, five students from Sumter County Middle School traveled to Darton College in Albany to participate in the 39th Regional Science Fair. The five students were Tahj Reese, Morgan Cloutier, Kahria Hadley, Tedderika Redding, and Kelly Ingle.

These students were in competition with over 50 other students from surrounding middle schools: Dougherty, Radium Springs, Albany, Lee, Mary Acres, and several others.

Students worked diligently on their projects. They chose their topics from many different science websites and thoroughly researched them following the steps of the scientific method. The students produced very vivid and detailed tri-fold boards with a great deal of information and pictures.

Sumter County Middle School would like to thank all of its students for putting forth effort and working very hard to complete their Science Fair Projects. We would also like to give a big "Thank You" to parents who supported the students along with science teachers who helped the students complete their projects while increasing their knowledge of scientific investigation, experiment, and research.
