DR. BROOKS PLANTS FIRST PINE IN CENTRAL OFFICE LANDSCAPING RENEWAL
In the initial meeting with Assistant Principals, the first phase of the Community/Schools Leadership Project was presented. Dr. Brooks and Donnie Smith introduced the scope of the project to these current and future administrators. The exterior of each school will be improved to provide "curb appeal" to any present and future students and their parents. The Central Office will also receive some desired exterior improvements. Obtained from the Georgia Forest Commission, a bundle of 500 Slash Pines were planted on the expansive area between the Central Office and Transportation building sites. This planting will provide visual appeal, wind control and future pine straw for landscaping needs.

Here, Donnie Smith digs the planting hole to receive the first pine from Superintendent, Dr. Roy Brooks.
